The Green Market showcases the amazing food that you can create from the garden grown goodness in the Market with our Sunday morning cooking demonstrations.  

Professional and amateur chefs teach how to create tasty and nutritious meals and provide tips about preserving, freezing and saving time so you can enjoy home cooked meals.

Through the Community Supported Agriculture programme, families are sharing recipes for the seasonal produce they find in their baskets every week. The Green Market is aiming to produce a cookbook just in time for Christmas this year.

If you have a great recipe, share it with us and take a picture too not only of the food but the people enjoying it.

Without gardeners and farmers, there would be no fresh food. The Green Market conducts a plant clinic on the first Saturday of every month, where gardeners and farmers can learn about the best and most progressive agricultural practices.

We are instituting our own Green Market certification to indicate how produce that is in the Market is grown. While we have not reached a fully organic standard, we are 90-95% local and approximately 40% of our farmers do not use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

We are developing our garden centre for the Sunday market, where home gardeners will be able to buy saplings, seedlings and ornamental plants and exchange ideas with other home gardeners about how to create magic in your garden.
